     The two jemima Parkers.

In light of DNA matches between a descendant of Jemima married to Wiilliam Cinton to descendants of three children of a Sarah Parker who married a James Tyrrell in Saffron Walden in 1793 Jemima's previoulsy believed information has been reviewed and new information found.

Instead of being born 1793 Braintree, Essex to William Parker and Charlotte Parkerson my Jemima is rather more likely to be the Jemima born 1788 Saffron Walden to Sarah Parker.
Where Sarah MAY be the one who later married James Tyrrell in 1793.
I'd love to prove this!
If there are there any direct female line descendants of this latter Sarah Tyrrell nee Parker around willing to be offered a mitochondrial DNA test, I'd love to hear from you - my treat.
If you turned out to be haplogroup T2b4a (ie a match to me) I'd even throw in an autosomal test to see what that revealed.

Jemima's death cert. says she was born Saffron Walden.
Census data (1841 and 1851) state she was born Middlesex.
All imply about 1790.
For some as yet unknown reason the indexed 1788 baptism on FamilySearch shows three places: Saffron Walden, Virley, and Victoria Docks, all Essex.
Victoria Docks appears to be rather near a boundry between Essex and Middlesex.

I found a 1788 baptism in Saffron Walden which definitely fits the birthplace on her death cert. and is marginally closer to the about 1790 her age in the 1851 census and her age at emigration provide than the 1793 in Braintree.13,14,2

E. & O. E. Some/most parish records are rather hard to read and names, places hard to interpret, particularly if you are unfamiliar with an area.
