     John Andrews was baptized on 21 May 1809 at Martock, SOM, ENG; there are three alternate dates to reconcile for John's baptism: the "History"4 has 21 May, Sheila's FT3 has 21 Mar, and I've transcribed the baptism as 3rd May. As the Martock web site also has 21 May, I've assumed that is correct. Entry reads: "John the son of John & Rebecca Andrews.4,2,3,5"
     John Andrews married Tabitha Hunt on 26 Mar 1832 at Martock, SOM, ENG, (Sheila's tree3 has date as 26 Mar 1832, History of the Andrews, has date as 18434, I've assumed the earlier date as correct given the birth dates of the children).4,3
     John Andrews died cir. Jun 1845 at Odcombe, Dist of Yeovil, SOM, ENG; "less than a mth after the dth of his 2 yr old son Samson", and therefore assumed to be the dth registered Yeovil Jun qtr 1845 (vol 10 p394) which does make the parentage of Emma rather unlikely to be John.1,6 He was buried on 20 Jun 1845 at Odcombe, SOM, ENG, (where did I get the place from?).3
     John Andrews was also known as John Jnr.1
     John Andrews appeared on the census of 7 Jun 1841 in Odcombe, SOM, ENG, with Tabitha Andrews, as ANDREWS: John 30 ag lab, Tabitha, 30 glover; George 9; Mary 5; Luke 1 (all b County) (son James is assumed to be the 6 yr old with his grdparents John & Rebecca in Martock) (NB enumerators were instructed to round ages down to the nearest multiple of 5).7,8 John Andrews was described as a coachman in 1855 probably in ?SOM, ENG, when dtr Mary Ann married.9
