Until I found the 1848 death and burial entries for Margaret and her 23 yr old son William I only knew about an 1845/6ish William in the family.
This 1848 death post-dates the birth of the younger William, and is rather too late in documented mother Margaret's life (she would have been 56!)
So, was the younger William simply known as William in honour of his older brother?
Or does William belong to his "sister" Mary instead?6,7

E. & O. E. Some/most parish records are rather hard to read and names, places hard to interpret, particularly if you are unfamiliar with an area.
