FatherAndrew Graham (cir. Apr 1736 - cir. Apr 1801); the link to this particular Andrew & Jane as William's parents is circumstantial. The dates could fit a move from Bewcastle to Kirklinton, and sister Margaret is mentioned in an uncle's will1,2
MotherJane Graham (say 1736 - aft. 1804); the link to this particular Andrew & Jane as William's parents is circumstantial. The dates could fit a move from Bewcastle to Kirklinton, and sister Margaret is mentioned in an uncle's will1,2

BMDB data

William Graham was born cir. Oct 1777 Great Astenby the baptism entry reading: "William son of Andrew Graham of Great Astenby husbandman and Jane his wife bapt" Par. of Kirklinton CUL ENG.1,2
William Graham was assumed to have died bef. 1804 ?Astenby, Par. of Kirklinton, CUL, ENG, purely because, if he does really belong to this family then he wasn't mentioned in Uncle Richard's will, but sister Margaret and brother's David and Stephen were.3

All the other info

I have yet to conclusively prove that the William and Margaret baptised in Kirklinton to an Andrew and Jane (of Astenby) are children of the same Andrew and Jane Graham who had Richard and Stephen in Bewcastle. This latter Andrew is the one connected to Fauld and therefore my direct line. Margaret almost certainly does belong as she is mentioned in an uncle's will.
NB On a 1774 map of Longtown, Astenby seems to be Asenby, and on later survey maps the same general area has both Lower and High Alstonby, so I have assumed the names are vaguely inter-changeable.3,4
