     John Manson was born cir. Jan 1758 Lynegar, Watten, CAI, SCT.1 He was christened on 1 Jan 1758 in the Par. of Watten, CAI, SCT; entry reads: David Manson in Lynegar and Helen Millar his spouse had a son baptised named John before wit. John Gunn in Catchery & William Malcolm in Watten.2
