     Donald Henderson married Ellen Sutherland, daughter of David Sutherland and Isabella Bremner, on 11 Apr 1876 in Canisbay, CAI, SCT, Cert reads: Ellen Sutherland, spinster, dom. servant, 30, d/o David Sutherland, farmer & Isabella Bremner, mar. Donald Henderson, bachelor, fisherman, 31, s/o David Henderson and Isabella Manson, C of S ceremony.2,4,3
     Donald Henderson died on 21 Apr 1876 at Freswick, Canisbay, CAI, SCT, at age 33; 3 days before his father David and only 10 days after his marriage. Age given on h/stone as 31. Cert reads: Donald HENDERSON 31 fisherman, married to Helen SUTHERLAND d. 21 Apr 1876 9am Freswick, Par of Canisbay s/o David Henderson, fisherman and Isabella m.s. Manson, dec; cod double pneumonia complicated by inflammation of walls of intestine 12 days, inf John Henderson, cousin, present, reg. Apr 22nd at Canisbay.2,5 He was buried Canisbay, CAI, SCT, h/stone reads: 1880 erected by Ellen Sutherland, Freswick in memory of husband Donald Henderson 21.4.1876 31 (father David Henderson 24.4.1876 82).2
