     Sampson Dawe is a potential duplicate of Sampson Dawe; one the son of Sampson & Mary (possibly TOLL), bap. 1789 Buckland Monachorum, the other marr. to Hannah CARWITHEN, and yeoman of Netherton.²
     Sampson Dawe is a potential duplicate of Sampson Dawe; One married to Grace Freeman HAWKINS, a tanner turned schoolmaster, the other the son of Sampson and Mary DAWE, who are probably the pair marrying in Bere Ferrers, Sampson a "Gentleman" of Buckland Monachorum, Mary being nee TOLL.³
     Sampson Dawe was considered as a potential duplicate of Sampson Dawe, but this has been discounted; one of two Sampsons born Buckland Monachorum c 1787/8/9, but the Sampson s/o Sampson and Mary is not (yet) known to have a sister Ann.⁴
