     David appeared on the census of 7 Jun 1841 Watten, Par. of Watten, CAI, SCT, as MANSON: David, head, with Ellen and Christina (assumed to be his sisters). Also John Smith (Ellen's son) and Margaret Davidson (NB instructions to the enumerators for this census were to round ages to the nearest multiple of 5, children tended to have their ages accurately recorded - or at least as accurate as such things can be. These instructions were not always followed.)3 He was likely to be ?Watten, CAI, SCT, in Mar 1851. He was likely to be ?Par. of Watten, CAI, SCT, in Apr 1861 if still alive.
