     James Finlayson married Bessie Teat on 30 Jun 1715 Par. of Watten, CAI, SCT, Bessie of Nth Dunn, James of Clayag, full entry reads: Jun 4 1715 the said day James Finlayson in Clayag and Bessie Teat in Northdun and by these bind themselves to solemnize their marriage in due form according to the God and constitution of our Church within 40 days after here of under the penalty of 10 pounds scots money be payed by the (?) party breaker to the session box of Watten the said day being past and marriage aforesaid not consummated and for the further security both cautioners and the parties bind and oblige themselves to implement their several parts under the penalty aforesaid and in testimony here of they touched the Clerks pen day and date foresaid Accomplished Jun 30 1715.1,2
