Intro

     Janet is known to exist from a sasine. The 1770 baptism is assumed to be this Janet. The name is unclear in the image and indexed on ScotlandsPeople as Jackie, which seems unlikely, being rather uncommon, but does indeed look a reasonable interpretation of the entry.2

     Janet Buchanan married John Doig on 24 Feb 1787 Kilmadock, PER, SCT.4
