BMDB data

James Millar was born cir. Dec 1780 Kippen, STI, SCT.1,2,3 He was baptized on 17 Dec 1780 Kippen, Stirlingshire; entry shows James as child of David MILLAR and Eliz CHRISTAL. Wit.: Cong.1
James Millar died on 11 May 1863 Cauldhame, Par. of Kippen, STI, SCT; cert. shows James as 80 pauper formerly mason, s/o David MILLER wright, & Elizabeth m.s. CHRYSTAL, both dec'd; d. 4am of acute bronchitis, chronic myocarditis of long standing; inf. John ?GRAHAM?, Inspector of Poor; Reg; 16th.2
With admittedly distant DNA matches between just one descendant each from James' brother Robert, and sister Margaret, to a small number of descendants (3) of James and Amelia (MILLAR) HENDERSON it is very tempting to identify this James as Amelia's father, BUT the matches seem to be too distant, and too few given how many tested descendants we have for James and Amelia Henderson.
Despite Amelia's dth cert. showing her father as James, it is possible that James' brother John might be a good candidate, given he actually baptized a daughter Emilia in the right birth month and place, if not quite the right year.
Would love to hear from more tested descendants from the David / Elizabeth family.4

E. & O. E. Some/most parish records are rather hard to read and names, places hard to interpret, particularly if you are unfamiliar with an area.
