Mary Fairbairn is/are sometimes confused with Mary Catherine Fairbairn. Both were born in Ontario around 1855/6.

Mary Catherine's marriage to Peter KELLER/KELLAR has not yet been found, but they continued to live near her folks at Richmond for a while, and she is consistently shown in census data with her parents as Mary C or Mary Catherine.
Mary, later PEPPER, living with her family at Tuckersmith, dying at Clinton (Huron Co.) in 1921 with her death cert. clearly showing her parents as Elliott FAIRBAIRN and Mary HOBKIRK.^5,2,6,3
