     Eliza Dalgliesh was born cir. Dec 1840 in Langholm, DFS, SCT.1,2
     Eliza Dalgliesh died aft. 1851 ?Bigholms, Par. of Langholm, DFS, SCT.1
     Eliza Dalgliesh appeared on the census of 1841 at Arnlee, Par. of Canonbie, DFS, SCT, in the household of Walter Dalgliesh and Mary Dalgliesh and is assumed to be a dtr.1,3 Eliza Dalgliesh appeared on the census of 1851 at Begholms, Par. of Langholm, DFS, SCT, as niece of John Dalgliesh.2
     Eliza Dalgliesh is a potential duplicate of Elizabeth Dalgleish; Eliza being Mary's sister. Given Elizabeth/Betsy's variable ages in assorted records, & Elizabeth's dth cert which shows her parents as Walter and Mary Dalgleish I have this theory that Elizabeth, wife of James Thomson, is one and the same person as Eliza, sister of Mary, James' first wife, but the age seems a tad far out.4
