Intro

I've brought this chap in from the cold having decided that the William, beneficiary of his mother's will, and William in the row of headstones in the Kirklinton Churchyard of an age to be Dulcibella's son are highly likely to be one and the same person.
Certainly there is a court case reported in the Carlisle Journal that shows his sons David and George arguing over £150 of stock from Firbank or Moorhouse farms, which neatly ties in with the headstones. All circumstantial however.
David T has kindly provided a photo, taken Jan 2003 of Firbank - looks an imposing farmhouse.2,3,4

E. & O. E. Some/most parish records are rather hard to read and names, places hard to interpret, particularly if you are unfamiliar with an area.
