BMDB data

Jane Metherell was born cir. 1835 Broadwoodwidger, DEV, ENG.1,2
Jane Metherell died aft. 1901 ?Westweek Moor, Broadwoodwidger, Par. of Lifton, DEV, ENG; (assuming I've traced the right one of the two born about the same time in the same place.)3
Bit of a puzzle here. I believed that I'd traced Jane, sister of Moses, up thru the census records, but when I traced backwards from the family of relations (cousin John Helson James) she was with in 1901 I found I had her twice in the 1841 census, once at home with parents, and again with grandmother Elizabeth Helson nee Hortop. Turns out there are two Jane's of an age, as I found another one in 1861, of the same age and birthplace, as a hse servant in Plymouth Charles, so I've a bit of work to do here yet.4

E. & O. E. Some/most parish records are rather hard to read and names, places hard to interpret, particularly if you are unfamiliar with an area.
