BMDB data

Elizabeth Creber was baptized on 2 Dec 1814 in the Par. of Walkhampton, DEV, ENG; to James, yeoman, and Agnes.1 Some sources show Elizabeth as born cir. 1815 this being from her age at dth. This more or less fits the date derived from 1861 and 1871 census records, which add a place of Walkhampton, and fits the nearest baptism in Walkhampton for a matching Elizabeth to the one who married Elijah Duck.2
According to the census of 1861 Elizabeth was born cir. 1816 Tiverton, DEV, ENG, but 1851 and 1871 census records both show Walkhampton.3
Elizabeth Creber married Elijah Duck on 29 Apr 1847 Calstone Wellington, Calne, WIL, ENG, cert. shows both of full age, Elijah a farmer resid Stockley in the Par of Calne, s/o Cain Duck, laborer; Elizabeth a servant resid Calstone, father "dead", wit: Matthew Duck and Sarah Ruddle (the marriage index shows Elizabeth as CREBEN.)4,5,6
Elizabeth Creber died bet. Jun 1879 - Sep 1879 Corsham?, Dist of Chippenham, WIL, ENG; aged 64.4,7,2

Elizabeth Creber appeared on the census of 1841 Knowle, Par. of Walkhampton, DEV, ENG, in the household of John Creber and is assumed to be a sister.8

All the other info

As her marriage cert declines to name her father, merely stating he was "dead", I cannot be 100% sure of my id of this Elizabeth after her baptism. However, the other Eliza/Elizabeth baptisms in Walkhampton were at least 7 years later. In addition, her sister Margaret King Creber also ended up in Wiltshire. And when you add in the circumstantial evidence of her dtr marrying John King, a cousin many times over, I'm happy to decide that the Elizabeth who married Elijah Duck is the dtr of James Creber and Agnes Spry. Regardless, there would appear to be little likelihood of descendants from this family as several children died young, one married late in life, and as for Elizabeth Agnes, her death was registered in the same qtr as her marriage to John. Which all sounds rather tragic.10

E. & O. E. Some/most parish records are rather hard to read and names, places hard to interpret, particularly if you are unfamiliar with an area.
