     Walter King married Margaret Willcock, daughter of Walter Willcock and Mary Morrell, on 27 Oct 1790 Buckland Monachorum, DEV, Walter King bachelor and Margaret Willcock spinster of this parish married in this church by licence 27 Oct 1790 by me Rd Reed curate. Both signed, witnesses were Walter Wilcock and J M King (Judith's sources gave this latter as J E C(?) King, I read it as J M, and an as yet mysterious J M King pops up as witness to other King events around this time.)5,6,7,2
     Walter King died on 29 Sep 1822 ?Filley or ?Buckler's, Manor of Walkhampton or Buckland Monachorum, DEV, ENG.8,2,3 He was buried on 3 Oct 1822 Buckland Monachorum, DEV, aged 56, of Buckler's, Horrabridge.3

     Cir. 1783 Walter King were named as lives on the tenancy on the Filley, Walkhampton, DEV, ENG, held by John King. Richard 50, son Walter 12, although this could be interpreted as Walter son of lessee, John, I believe Walter is Richard's son.9
     In 1795 Walter King was named as a life on the tenancy of Filley, Manor of Walkhampton, DEV, ENG, held by John King. Walter shown as aged 24.10
     Walter King paid a heriot in 1820 due on the death of James Collocott Horrabridge, Manor of Buckland Monachorum, DEV, ENG, for two new built houses near Horrabridge 10/6d.11
     Walter King and Mary King in 1820 were possibly related as it looks like Walter paid the Heriot for Mary Collocott nee King's husband James.11,12 Walter King is possibly the witness to the marriage of Walter King and Sarah King on 19 Jul 1820 Buckland Monachorum, DEV, ENG.13,14,15,16
     Henry Dawe paid a heriot on 9 Nov 1822 due on the death of Walter King Filley, Manor of Walkhampton, DEV, on 9 Nov for £3/3/-, the property falling to hand on the death of this last life, Henry being described as "the Administrator of the late Walter King, deceased" (Henry being his son-in-law.)8,12
     In 1823 Henry Dawe and William Bradford were presented at the Manor Court to be taken tenants for "late Walter Kings Filley", the Dartmore pages add "but the situation then becomes somewhat confused due to the mining setts which were let in the area."17
