The Richard, ironfounder in the 1851 census of Bury, Lancashire, and dying there in 1860 is assumed to be the Richard born to John & Dorothy (EASTHAM) SINTON.
This identification has some circumstantial evidence in that a George, of an age to be his brother, is also in Lancashire by 1841, lodging with a Scottish born millwright, and with a Louise GREENHALGH in the household.
But where on earth was Richard in 1841?3
