William Sinton1

(say 1750 - )

BMDB data

William Sinton was born say 1750 ?Jedburgh, ROX, SCT.1
William Sinton married Isobel Black say 1775 ?Southdean, ROX, SCT, not in indexed in OPR for Jedburgh.1,2
From the naming pattern of the children known, William may belong to the family of a James and Margaret SINTON, a couple of these names also being assumed to be the parents of Peter SINTON married to Janet DONALDSON.
They would be of an age and their respective descendants did intermarry.
If so, we should get an excellent dna match to the existing SINTON dna candidates. Any takers?3

E. & O. E. Some/most parish records are rather hard to read and names, places hard to interpret, particularly if you are unfamiliar with an area.
