     Alexander Gray was christened on 19 Jan 1758 in the Par. of Watten, CAI, SCT; entry reads: Donald Gray in Laid and Katharine Morgan his spouse had a son baptized named Alexander before wit: John Smith in Houstry and John Manson in Laid (possibly father Donald's brother-in-law).1,2
     Alexander Gray died aft. Jun 1787 ?Par. of Watten, CAI, SCT.
     In Jun 1787 Alexander Gray was living at Toftingall, Watten, CAI, SCT, (assuming correctly identified as the witness at niece Margaret's baptism).3 He witnessed the christening of Margaret Gray on 30 Jun 1787 Watten, CAI, SCT.4,3,5
