- Death*: William Henderson died on 29 Jul 1931 at 'Helensvale', Leith Valley, Dunedin, OTG, NZ; Nana's diaries for 29 Jul 1931 show: "Grandad dead, Leith" (Nana consistently refers to her husband as Dad, and his father as Granddad). Copy of dates from bible taken 11th Aug 1931 says "father died at 6pm". A separate list of family deaths adds "show day", which must have hurt him somewhat to have missed show day (the pic above is from a newspaper showing local farmers at the A&P show, Dunedin).

Married Oamaru at age 30 to Helen Sinton Wight, now aged 83. Issue still living M 54 (James), 52 (Walter), 50 (Bill), 47 (Archibald), F 46 (Nellie), 44 (Millie), 38(Lydia).22,23,24
- Burial*: He was buried on 1 Aug 1931 at Block 165 plot 8, North End cemetery, Dunedin, OTG, NZ, Private funeral (11am) Rev A C W Standage. Nana's diaries record: "Les & Mum Dn, snow, Grandad's funeral, 11am", "Dad" having been there for a couple of days already. ("Mum and Dad" refer to Archie and Agnes themselves).25,26,27
